CVAC and Indian Creek would like to thank all the swimmers and coaches from across the area that participated in this year's meet. We want to especially thank the many parent volunteers who make the meet run smoothly and efficiently.

DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP SIGN-UPS DUE JULY 7, 2009

Sign-ups for the division championship meet on July 18 are due July 7, 2009.

Eligibility: To participate you must have swam in three (3) league dual meets (invitationals do not count).

Events: The swimmers gets to pick the events they want to swim. Put the events in order of importance to you. If the coaches put you in a relay, they will drop your third event. The events are here.

Volunteers: CVAC is hosting the meet. All 6 teams in our league will be at our pool. As the host, we need all parents to volunteer in some capacity. The sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board this week. As with all our meets, to swim there must be a parent volunteer. Note that timers and officials are also provided by the other clubs so we will not need as many of those positions filled as we will concession, admissions, seeding, etc.

DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MEET - JULY 18, 2009

CVAC is proud to host the teams of Division AAA of the Capital Area Swim League on July 18, 2009.

ALL-STARS - SUNDAY, JULY 19 at Camp Hill

The Camp Hill Aquatic club will host CASL All-Stars on Sunday, July 19. This meet is between the top 16 swimmers from all the individual events and the top 8 relays from the 4 division championship meets held on Saturday. For our newer swim families, this means that they will rank the times for each event from the combined 4 divisional meets, and the top 16 swimmers and the top 8 relay teams will be invited to compete in head to head competition on Sunday.

The meet is held at the Camp Hill Municipal Pool. It is a two session meet with the 8&U's and 10&U's starting at 9 am (8 am warm-up) and the 11 and older swimmers starting at 1 pm (12 pm warm-up). CVAC will be required to provide volunteer timers, officials, and ribbon helpers. This is an outdoor meet. The gates will open at 7 am and 11:30 am for each session, respectively.

The coaches will contact the swimmers who make All-Stars. Additionally, the All-Star psych sheet will be posted on the CASL website Saturday night. This should be checked regularly after 6 pm to see if your swimmer made the cut.

MID-CAPS - SATURDAY, JULY 25 at Hershey

This meet is the grande finale of the summer competition. This meet is between the Mid Penn Aquatic League (East Shore) and the Capital Area Swim League (West Shore). Each league sends its top 6 individual and top 3 relays to swim. The swimmers will be notified via the CASL website on Sunday night or Monday morning.

AWARDS BANQUET - SUNDAY, JULY 19 at CV High School

Our end of season banquet and awards ceremony will be Sunday, July 19 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be at the high. ALL swimmers and their immediate family are invited to attend. Awards will be given to those swimmers who competed in 3 or more dual meets this season. CVAC will provide drinks and pizza. Sign-up Sheet is here.
